Providence Bible Presbyterian Church is a growing congregation in the beautiful city of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, seeking to minister as “A Witness to the Reforming Power of the Triune God.” We are firmly committed to the infallible and inerrant Word of God, found in the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, as our “only rule of faith and practice.” We cherish the legacy of the Protestant Reformation. The summary of our doctrine is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. We refer to these documents as our “subordinate standards” because while subordinate to the Word of God, they are proven in their value to the Church in summarizing in a systematic way the teachings of the Holy Bible.

But we are not content with being what Vance Havner referred to as “gun barrel” Christians, those who are theologically straight as a gun barrel, and just as empty! We want to live our theology out in acts of compassion for others, service to the community, testifying of the reality of God’s grace in our lives, and living with integrity in all of our dealings with one another. We strive in our worship to exalt our Lord as He reveals Himself, not as we want Him to be. We find joy in being in His presence, doing His commands, and enjoying all He has made. He has shown us mercy and grace in sending us our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the God Man, one with the Father, full of grace and truth. Christ’s sacrifice of Himself on the cross and resurrection from the dead secured for His people salvation for eternity, and He graciously called us to that salvation out of our sin and condemnation. That call goes out you as well…””Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” (Isaiah 55:1) Christ alone can meet the spiritual thirst and hunger of your soul…and that’s why we’re here, to spread that message and introduce you to Him. Come and see.
