After months of meeting in the Bonners Ferry Visitor Center downtown, Providence Bible Presbyterian Church has moved into its permanent location at 6530 Washington Street as of Sunday, September 4. Situated on South Hill just before winding down the hill to the downtown area, the building commonly known around town as “the Purple Church” has received a face lift and made ready by the congregation to resume its original purpose as a house of worship.┬áProvidence BPC began gathering in September of 2010, and is thrilled to become a more permanent part of the Bonners Ferry community.

Providence BPC's new place of worship

The public is invited to join the congregation for a special day of dedication on September 18. Services begin at 9:30 a.m. with the morning Bible study. The Organizing Pastor, Dr. Len Pine, has recently returned from three weeks of ministry in Cambodia along with his son, and they will give a Powerpoint presentation about their work in the usual Bible study hour. Pastor Pine will deliver the message in the morning worship service at 10:30. A time of fellowship around a covered-dish supper, to which all are welcome, will follow the morning services. Bring a dish or dessert to share if you are able (but be sure to stay whether you can bring food or not). Following the supper will be a service of dedication for the renovated building to conclude the day’s activities. Please plan on joining us! Call the office at 267-9608 for more information.
