The work is led by Pastor Len Pine, a minister of the Bible Presbyterian Church, General Synod. The BPC is a conservative body that regards the Bible as the inerrant and infallible Word of God and seeks to walk in submission to God’s Word in both preaching ministry and practice. Len holds advanced degrees from Bob Jones University, Western Reformed Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary (West).
Len started and pastored another Bible Presbyterian church in Scappoose, Oregon, in 1995. He has been serving the BPC denomination in various ministry capacities since 1980, and as an ordained minister since 1995. In 2002 he was called to serve as the Field Director of Presbyterian Missionary Union, the BPC’s home and foreign missionary sending agency, which was then located in the Buffalo, New York area. Len moved with his family to Bonners Ferry in 2010 to relocate PMU here and begin work with the new congregation. He held that position until 2019. Pastor Len engages the community as a member of a local volunteer fire department, as a reserve deputy serving as a chaplain to the Sheriff’s Office, a reserve police officer serving as a chaplain to the Bonners Ferry Police Department, organizing and leading the Boundary County Chaplain Corps, and serving on the area’s fire service Honor Guard. He has also served on the faculty of Western Reformed Seminary in Puyallup, Washington, since 1988. Len has been married since 1985 and has two children and four grandchildren.
